Francesca “Frankie” Sandford (born 14 January 1989)

Is an English singer and member of girl group The Saturdays. She was previously a member in the band S Club 8 and appeared with them in children’s television programme I Dream before they disbanded.

Career: Francesca Sandford started her career in 2001 with pop music S Club 7 spin-off group,   S Club Juniors, later renamed to S Club 8 in April 2003 following the disbanding of S Club. Prior to joining S Club 8, she also appeared on SMTV Live as a cheerleader. The group went on to shoot children’s television programme I Dream, before officially disbanding in early 2005.

Since 2007, Frankie is a member of the girl group The Saturdays, whose other members are Una Healy, Mollie King, Vanessa White, and fellow former-S Club 8 member Rochelle Wiseman. They have achieved seven top ten singles and two top ten albums, as well as recording the official charity single for Comic Relief. Their debut album, Chasing Lights, has been certified platinum. In November 2008, along with her other bandmates from The Saturdays, she appeared in the Channel 4 Hollyoaks spin-off Hollyoaks Later. They performed the song Issues in the 10 minute BBC drama Myths in January 2009, in the episode ‘A Syren’s Call’. Sandford was ranked number 17 in the 2009 and number 4 in the 2010 edition of FHM’s Sexiest Women. Sandford took part in TV series The Door. Where she was eliminated first from the show. Over all Boyzone singer, Keith Duffy won the show.

Frankie was a guest vocalist on Kids in Glass Houses’ second album Dirt, appearing on the track “Undercover Lover”.
